How to Find the Best Protein Powder Deals on Amazon

4 Tips to Save Big on Protein Powder Purchases

5/8/20242 min read

Protein powder can be pricey, but Amazon offers several ways to save if you know where to look and are open to trying multiple brands. Here are four smart strategies to help you score the best deals:

1. Subscribe & Save Promos (Prime Only)

Amazon offers Subscribe & Save discounts of 5-10% on many consumables. That's a normally a couple bucks, but where it really stacks up is when you combine it with One-Time Subscribe & Save Coupons:

These coupons only work on the first shipment of the product. You can cancel anytime, so lock in a cheap tub/bag and then cancel the subscription after it ships. The Coupons stack with the normal S&S discount. Both discounts are based on the subscription prices, so a 25% coupon often ends up as 30% or 35% regular price!

Pro Tip: The S&S Coupon may disappear after a certain number of redemptions. Typically, I see see these discounts on multiple products, but once I redeem one, the Coupon disappears.

2. Shop the Sales (and Prime Day)

We've all seen 'fake sales' in which a product is marked up only to be marked down for Prime Day. This happens a lot for things like Tech Gear or Gym Equipment, but less common on consumables. For Protein Powder and other consumables, there are some legit deals.

Brands like Quest, Dymatize, VEGA, and Optimum Nutrition often discount by $6-10 per 2lbs for Prime Day and other random sales. You can stack these discounts with Subscribe and Save discounts and Promos for some serious savings! Since S&S discounts are based on the subscription price, these can add up to some silly deals.

Deals like the one pictured above are rare. It was the best I’ve ever found! 2lb Tubs for under $20 aren't all that uncommon though--you just need to be flexible on the brands. This site is designed to help you find multiple brands worth trying, so you can jump on a deal when you see it!

3. Brand Deal Coupons

The best coupons for Protein Powder tend to be Subscribe and Save promos. However, sometimes brands run promos like "spend $65, save $15." These coupons stack with S&S and other discounts. They might look like the following:
