Flavors Tried
Simply Vanilla - A clean simple vanilla that's perfect to use as a base for other recipes. With many vanillas I get an artificial "slim fast" or medicinal taste, but not CSE's.
Mint Chocolate Cookie - A minty chocolate that would love some Thin Mints as a mix in.
Chocolate Brownie Batter - It scored pretty average in my Chocolate review. It was fine, but it wasn't strong enough to be a brownie.
Coconut Cream - I like Coconut flavored whatever about as much as anyone. This was a disappointment. If making this flavor, I'd recommend only 10-12 ounces of liquid in your pint so it's more concentrated.
Peaches & Cream - They nailed the Peach flavor, but I'd rather just mix in some fresh or canned peaches into a Vanilla.
Snickerdoodle - less sweet and more balanced than a "Cinnamon Toast Crunch" protein. I would add a 1/2 tsp extra cinnamon when mixing.
Texture
Light & airy, almost mouse like with 50-50 Dairy-Plant milk.
CSE does a few things differently than the competition. While expensive, they offer a lot of flavors and sell sample packs (5 & 10). One serving for a full pint might feel too diluted, so look to make 10-12 ounces. They also use different ingredients than most. I'm not so sure if they are "cleanner" than others though.
Note: should go without saying, but don't feed protein powder creations to your dog. CSE uses Xylitol which is poison to them.
